He was the strong, silent force behind the Academy-nominated movie, "The Blind Side." But Sean Tuohy's success started even before his life was depicted by Hollywood.
Sean Tuohy appeared on Monday's The 700 Club to talk about how he became successful in business, some of his greatest challenges, and some of the most influential people in his life. Click play to watch the interview.
Tuohy opened his home and his family to Michael Oher, a young boy from the projects who later became a first round draft pick in the NFL.
But before he was portrayed by country music star Tim McGraw in "The Blind Side," Tuohy had already left his mark.
His success started early in his life. While studying at the University of Mississippi on a basketball scholarship, Tuohy lead his team to its first and only championship. He was later drafted by the NBA to play for the New Jersey Nets.
Tuohy now works with the NBA as a broadcaster for the Memphis Grizzlies. But his success spans far beyond sports.
He is a business entrepreneur who has built a fast-food empire of more than 70 restaurants, ranging from Taco Bell to Long John Silver's.
