Country music and gospel recording artist Charlie Daniels is recovering from a mild stroke.
Daniels, 73, is thanking God that he was treated promptly for the stroke he suffered while snowmobiling in Colorado. He suffered the stroke last week near Durango and was rushed to a hospital. Paramedics then air-lifted Daniels to a Denver hospital, where he was released on Sunday.
"Has God's fingerprints all over it," Daniels said.
It was believed if there had been any further delay in treating him, he might have been permanently impaired. The fiddler-guitarist said he only has some stiffness and numbness in his left hand and arm.
Daniels said that won't keep him from performing on a concert tour that starts late next month. He said he plans to take care of himself the best he can and leave the rest to God.
