The town of Plymouth, Minn. has turned one of its frozen lakes into an outdoor art gallery.

Plymouth's Medicine Lake is host of the event known as the Art Shanty festival.

The artists, given free reign to create anything they wanted, created 20 ice houses. They decorated the dwellings in unusual and colorful ways - even designing some that were interactive.

The festival is scheduled to run on weekends through February 7.
