Saddleback Church members have answered the call for donations made by Pastor Rick Warren.

Warren made an online plea to erase the church's $900,000 budget deficit by the end of 2009.

On Sunday, the well-known evangelical pastor announced his mega-church not only raised the needed money, but actually brought in close to $2.4 million.

Warren says the donations show that Saddleback "is the most generous church in the world."
