After almost two years of acrimony, Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston said they've worked things out and now want to get married.

Bristol, daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, and her beau Johnston said they plan to tie the knot in six weeks in their native state of Alaska.

The young couple told US Weekly they reconnected while working out a custody plan.
    
Sarah Palin and her husband have issued a statement saying that they only what what's best for their children.
    
Meanwhile, Johnston has recently retracted statements he made about the Palin family. The 20-year-old said he was just angry over his recent break up with Bristol and that his statements "were not completely true."
