The homeless helping the homeless is the mission of one young woman in Minneapolis, Minn.
"Just present people with an opportunity to give and see if they will. And actually, they do," Shay Kelley explained about her efforts.
Kelley lost her job and her home earlier this year but she believes it was a jolt she needed. Through that experience she said she felt God prodding her to help other needy people.
Now she's traveling across the country distributing donated food and clothing along the way.
"I think it's important for other people to see that you don't have to own an organization or have a building," she said. "You can have, literally, just yourself and your own talent and your own skills and use those to help other people."
Kelley hopes to take her charity through all 50 states in 50 weeks. She's named her journey "Project 50-50" and hopes her own actions encourage others to give generously.
