Jason Upton is a Christian music artist who leads worship in churches, large and small, all over the world.
His music has become popular through his appearances at the services in Lou Engle's movement The Call.
"For every revival a voice that penetrates the darkness is raised up. I've never heard a clearer voice to this generation, nor a purer channel than Jason Upton. In my generation a Keith Green was raised up with a lion's roar. The lion can be heard again in the sound and lyrics of this young prophet," Engle said in a statement posted on Upton's website.
Upton was raised in a Christian family in Minneapolis and began singing in churches at the age of 15. He has won awards and has toured the United States, singing in churches across the country and around the world.
Since 2000, he has recorded and released 14 music CDs. He holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Regent University.
Jason Upton appeared on the Thursday, July 22 edition of the CBN Newschannel's Midday News to talk about his music, his latest release, his ministry, and how God is teaching him to be a better parent. Click play to watch the interview.
