A Veterans Administration hospital in St. Louis, Mo., is sending out warnings to patients who may have been exposed accidentally to deadly viruses.

More than 1,800 veterans who received dental work might have come into contact with viruses like HIV and Hepatitis B and C.

The hospital said its dental tools were not sterilized correctly.

Officials added that the risk of infection is extremely low, but free blood tests are being offered.
