Christian worship artist Guy Penrod recently released his new country music solo debut entitled "Breathe Deep."

Penrod's solo project comes after 14 years as a centerpiece of the legendary two-time Grammy and multi-Dove Award-winning Gaither Vocal Band.

"I had made fourteen records with the Gaither Vocal Band when Bill asked me last year if I wanted to do a solo record," Penrod explained on his website. "I was excited by the opportunity to individualize my music and broaden my horizons."

"I also wanted to be true to the integrity of not doing a solo career inside the walls of my commitment to the Vocal Band," he added. "I guess I just felt it was the right time to make the move while I still have my hair-what with teenagers and all."
