Two New York City men are bringing back an old American custom -- fresh, cold milk delivered straight from the farm to the doorstep.
Matt Marone and Frank Acosta of Manhattan Milk are the new milkmen of the 21st century. Their day starts just before midnight delivering fresh milk from grass-fed cows.
"They grew up getting milk delivered and when they see our company they say 'oh, that's great, the milkman's back. You still deliver,'" Marone said of his customers.
"[It's] just a user-friendly way of getting an old school product," Acosta added. "People want to be health conscious and know what's going into their body. No hormones, no pesticides. They want to give the best for their kids."
Farm fresh milk, however, is not cheap. A half-gallon of Manhattan Milk costs $ 5.89, plus a $5 delivery fee.
