A tiny town in Washington state has been put on the auction block, but not everyone is on board.
Daphne Fletcher is single-handedly selling the town of Wauconda, Wash. and she is doing it all on eBay.
"The locals aren't real thrilled about it, I think they think I have some serious audacity to claim to own the whole town," Fletcher said.
The most current bid is a reasonable $370,000, much to the chagrin of those who own farms outside the center of town.
"I do claim to own the center of the town and all the businesses." Fletcher said. "I think the businesses, that's a commonly established community."
"We have a restaurant, and a gas station, and a store, and a post office. That's what I'm claiming to sell," she said. "It was a Wild West little mining town about 100 years ago. At one time there was about 1,000 people at one time. There were several hotels. When the gold busted, the people kind of left."
It is not too late to purchase the old mining town. There are still about two days left in the auction.
