Christian singer and songwriter Carlos Whittaker just released his debut album entitled "Ragamuffin Soul."
On his Internet blog, also named Ragamuffin Soul, the husband and father of three describes himself as an artist, pastor, thinker and experience architect and Web 2.0 junkie.
Whittaker's blog has a worldwide following of more than 20,000 people and was even ranked among the "Best Ministry/Theology Blog" by Collide Magazine readers.
"When I'm consulting for churches, they ask, 'How do you make your community so big?' and "How do you make it successful?' I try to tell them it's because I'm not trying. I'm not trying to do that," he explained in a recent interview with Collide Magazine.
"I'm not trying to create a community," Whittaker continued. "I'm just spending time investing in relationships with the people who are on my blog."
His goal?
"To ignite a movement of authenticity among all generations of Christians that morphs the face of the evangelical church into a place of being real with yourself, others, and God," his blog reads.
Whittaker appeared on the Thursday, May 20 edition of the CBN Newschannel's Midday program to share more about his new album. Click play for his comments.
