Memorial Day weekend is just one week away and AAA has released its annual holiday travel forecast.
The travel group is predicting more Americans will hit the roads and skies over the holiday weekend, but will likely spend less than last year.
AAA's Travel Services Director Glen MacDonell said an improving economy is allowing people to leave their homes this year.
"AAA travel agents are reporting double-digit increases in the percentage of travelers making advanced bookings for tours and cruises, hotel bookings," MacDonell said.
Troy Green, manager of public relations for AAA, shared more about the state of the economy and how it will affect Memorial Day travel plans on CBN Newschannel's Midday program. Click play for his comments.
