A prominent Christian leader is offering sage advice for the newly elected U.S. Congress.
George Roller, executive director of the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship in Washington, D.C., expressed the hope that the congressional-elects recognize that God has placed them in their positions for a purpose. Likewise, Roller noted that the Creator also "takes people out."
Roller warned incoming lawmakers to beware of temptations of pride and infidelity that can ruin their careers and personal lives.
He also said newly elected lawmakers will need God's guidance to understand and fulfill their mission.
