The National Association of Gospel Rescue Missions is challenging Christians to look beyond their dinner tables to help others this Thanksgiving.
John Ashman, the organization's president, says 275 Gospel Rescue Missions across the U.S. will be serving 500,000 of the nation's homeless and needy for the holiday.
Volunteers are needed to help serve hot meals on Thanksgiving Day, and many of the missions need more turkey donations.
Ashman suggests Christians should be mindful that the holiday is not just a time for thanks but also for giving.
