Two California grocery store employees recently discovered they not only share the same employer -- but also the same DNA.
Ralph's Grocery Store employee Kathi Tommer was going over her work schedule when she noticed she and another cashier shared the same last name.
Tommer jokingly told her co-workers that the cashier, Jack Esquivel, was her brother.
It wasn't until she asked Esquivel about his parents that they discovered the truth -- the two are long-lost brother and sister, separated by an adoption.
"She told me her last name was Esquivel. It was amazing when she told me she was my sister," Esquivel said.
"Not seeing her for so long makes me want to cry," he continued. "It's every exciting. [To] get to meet other sisters as well, touched my heart."
"Hopefully we can have a reunion and they can meet my parents," Tommer added. "My parents want to meet them."
Both Jack and Kathi said a blood test wasn't necessary to prove their bond. They discovered they both carry the same childhood family photo of their eight siblings.
