Former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin is opening up her home and private life to the cameras in an unprecedented new television series.
On Sunday, Palin and her family appeared in a hybrid show that's part adventure, part documentary, and part reality TV, on cable network's The Learning Channel.
The 46-year-old politician hopes the candid series, called "Sarah Palin's Alaska," will help redefine her persona and undo a lot of inaccuracies about her family.
But skeptics say the show's casual nature could prove harmful if Palin plans to run for public office in the future.
TLC network is airing the eight-episode series starting Sunday, Nov. 14.
