The new Walt Disney Pictures movie "Secretariat," which is now playing in theatres, is based on the story of the real-life thoroughbred race horse who won horse racing's Triple Crown in 1973.
Secretariat was one of only 11 horses to have ever accomplished this task in the history of horse racing. Today, many fans and analysts argue that he was the greatest race horse of all time. By the time he snared the Triple Crown, no horse had done so in 25 years.
Only two horses have been able to duplicate the accomplishment since Secretariat walked out on the paddock to race in New York's Belmont Stakes 37 years ago, which he won by an amazing 31 lengths.
CBN News recently spoke with Randy Wallace, the director of the "Secretariat," via Skype. He talked about some of the unique challenges of directing a movie with a horse.
