In two years, Sarah Palin has gone from the little-known, first-term governor of Alaska to a major player on the national political scene.

In his book, The Faith and Values of Sarah Palin, author Stephen Mansfield takes a look at Palin's Christian faith and how it has molded her career.

Mansfield says in order to understand Palin, it's essential to understand her core values and how they relate to Americans.

He's also written books about the faith of Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

CBN News spoke with Mansfield about his latest release on the September 24 edition of Newswatch and what he learned about Sarah Palin's faith.  Click play for his comments.
