A Christian University in Tennessee is paying their students to learn a very valuable lesson.
This year every freshman at Belmont University received a $5, $10 or $20 bills. They had to use the money to change to world, or at least someone's life.
"I think the point of this is we think we don't have anything to give away, but all of us do," Dr. Bob Fisher, president of Belmont University, said.
Nine-hundred students took part in the three week challenge. The students came back with some amazing stories. from flood relief, to buying ducks for third world families.
"If $5 can cause you to stop and think and show you ways to double your money and give it away, we all have that," one student said.
Many of the participants said instead of changing the lives of others, it was actually their own lives that were changed.
"I don't think I'll ever go back to the way I was before," one freshman said.
