A dangerous heat wave continued to take a toll on much of the South and Midwest, Thursday.

Soaring temperatures have lead to many heat-related illnesses. More than 100 deaths have been blamed on the hot weather.

In Georgia, two high school football players died due to heat exposure.

Forrest Jones, 16, collapsed shortly after finishing practice.

The high temperatures have stuck around for weeks in many cities.

Dallas has seen triple digit temperatures for 34 days straight.

Forecasters say daytime highs won't dip below 100s for at least another week.
