The Christian music group, Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, have released a new children's album titled "Groovy."
However, Denver Bierman, the group's leader told CBN News, their new album is not just for kids, but for parents as well.
Denver and the Mile High Orchestra have created a sound unlike any other. They take the diverse sounds of legends such as Stevie Wonder, Chicago, and Earth Wind and Fire and combine them for a fresh contemporary pop music sound.
"The first show we performed was for 28 people," Bierman wrote on the group's website. "It wasn't the hottest ticket in Nashville that night, but there was free coffee and cheesecake. That's one thing in the beginning I told my guys -- I may not be able to pay you but there will be dessert."
The band has come a long way from those humble beginnings to network TV.
Bierman talked more about the album, the group's appearance on the FOX TV show "The Next Great American Band," and what God taught them through their performances at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City and in Athens, Greece on the CBN News Channel's Midday News, Aug. 19.
