Forecasters say the drought that has been plaguing much of the U.S. will continue into the fall season.

A three-month forecast by the National Weather Service predicts warmer than normal temperatures in the Southwest.

The Northwest and California will be spared from the warm fall temperatures. 

The dreary forecast means no relief for Texas and Oklahoma. Both states are experiencing record-breaking droughts.
