The recent untimely death of Zachery Tims has raised questions about the amount of support and accountability given to Christian leaders.
The founding pastor of Florida's New Destiny Christian Center was found dead in a New York hotel room Aug. 12. Tims was 42.
His death is under investigation and the cause has not been determined, but there's speculation drugs may've been involved.
Tims is being remembered for his dedication to the megachurch he built after overcoming a troubled past, and his work to help young people with a similar background.
But he had his struggles, admitting to a year-long affair with a stripper that eventually ended his marriage.
Following Tims' death, Charisma magazine contributing editor J. Lee Grady blogged about the lessons that can be learned from this pastor's life and death.
Grady spoke with CBN News about biblical discipline of pastors, recent scandals in the church, and the moral failures of Christian leaders. Click play to watch.
