Joplin Survivor Surprised With Home Makeover

An Operation Blessing International team surprised a survivor of the Joplin tornado with a home makeover.

Mr. Charlie was laid off from his job a few months before the tornado struck the southwest Missouri city.

Charlie had just finished paying off his home, but he couldn't afford insurance yet.

His roof, attic and ceilings were badly damaged by the storm and he couldn't make the repairs on his own.

Operation Blessing and the Home Depot installed a new roof, drywall and carpet. They also painted the walls and were able to replace some furniture.

Without the help from the Virginia Beach, Va. charity aid organization, Charlie says he would've lost his home.
