A family-friendly movie scheduled to air Friday night on the NBC television network is garnering praise from the American Family Association.
"Game of Your Life" focuses on Zach Taylor, a high school video gamer who wins a scholarship to a prestigious design school. But he finds himself in tough spot when he learns of his widower father's financial troubles.
Desperate to help his dad, the teen defies school policy and takes a part-time job -- a choice that threatens to get Zach kicked off his design team.
To the delight of the AFA, the movie doesn't contain bad language, sexual innuendo, or gratuitous violence.
"We're still almost surprised every time a new FMN movie comes out," AFA President Tim Wildmon told One News Now.
"For decades, this is what AFA has hoped for -- and not been able to find in television movies. Now, P&G and Walmart are coming through for families," he said.
Veteran actor Thom Gossom Jr., who portrays Zachariah's father, recently talked about the movie and the importance of fatherhood with CBN News Anchor Lee Webb.
