Post-Iraq War: Getting Veterans Back to Work

Ad Feedback

American troops have seen several tours in Iraq over the last nine years. Now that the war has ended, what's next for these soldiers?

Thousands of service members are returning to high unemployment in the United States. The American Legion says there are more than a million veterans among the jobless.

Mark Walker, deputy director of the American Legion National Economic Commission, says more is being done to keep veterans working.

"They're ready to work and able," Walker said.

"Veterans will make your company better. They'll bring leadership, discipline and team work," he added.
