A nun in Connecticut is proving you're only as old as you feel, and she's using her spunk and a smile to brighten up the day for many others like her.
Sister Cecilia Adorni is the life of the party when she steps on the dance floor at the local adult day care center. The 103-year-old is recognized immediately by the center's patrons as a regular.
She helps the staff entertain several older residents - many even younger than herself.
Sister Adorni works at the center for nearly five hours every day. She stays young by dancing with the residents and has fond memories of one man in particular.
"He would take me by the hand and we would do the polka. But now the poor fella, he's in heaven. He's probably praying for me. That's why I can still do the polka," she said laughing.
"When people see you being happy and cheerful and they become happy and cheerful," she added.
Sister Adorni says pepperoni pizza is her one guilty pleasure. The adults at the day center say she can eat almost anybody "under the table."
