A North Carolina woman who raised a kidnapped child for 23 years was scheduled to appear in federal court Monday.
Ann Pettway surrendered to FBI agents on Sunday after the girl she raised was reunited with her biological parents. Prosecutors say she will face kidnapping charges.
Carlina White was just 19 days old when she was snatched from the Harlem Hospital in New York City.
This month, at 23 years old, she found her own baby picture on the Missing and Exploited Children website and contacted authorities.
White said she always felt out of place with the family that raised her and she became suspicious when they could not produce her birth certificate.
Her father, Carl Tyson, said he's happy to have found his daughter.
Tyson told NBC's "Today" show on Monday that he now has the "whole puzzle," all four of his kids.
But he admitted he didn't know what he's supposed to be doing with a 23-year-old.
He joked, "Should I be feeding her baby food?"
Tyson said he'd like an opportunity to ask Pettway "why she did this to me for 23 years."
