The Crystal Cathedral has restored the voting rights of church founder Rev. Robert H. Schuller on its governing board.
Spokesman John Charles said Wednesday that the church, which produces the televangelist show the "Hour of Power," has restored Schuller as a voting member. The Orange County, Calif. megachurch had removed that right earlier in July.
The ministry also added five members to the board.
The Crystal Cathedral has been plagued by financial troubles following a disastrous leadership transition and a devastating slump in donations.
The church declared bankruptcy last fall and filed a plan to sell its campus and glass-spired sanctuary as it faces $47 million in debt.
Schuller, a pioneering televangelist, started preaching at a drive-in movie theater in Southern California in the mid-1950s and later built the cathedral.
