Residents of Los Angeles are expecting a massive traffic jam this weekend.
The nation's busiest highway will shut down for more than 50 hours beginning Friday night.
On a typical weekend, a half million cars pack Interstate 405.
But this weekend, a 10-mile stretch will be closed as road crews bring down a bridge. Rerouting all the traffic to side streets is expected to create gridlock many residents are referring to as "carmageddon."
Celebrities like Erik Estrada are encouraging people to stay home.
But one couple doesn't have a choice. They have had their wedding scheduled for more than a year.
"All I can do is hope... Everything will be okay," said bride-to-be Dalia Franco.
Before "carmageddon," the wedding guests could get to the ceremony in 20 minutes. Saturday, they expect it will take three hours.
