Most restaurants work diligently to try and keep bugs out, but one establishment not only welcomes them , they intentionally cooks bugs into meals.
Mission Street Mexican Restaurant in San Francisco is famous for its grasshopper tacos.
Owner Harry Persaud uses bugs instead of chicken or beef. He claims green grasshoppers are a delicacy in Mexico.
Customers have described the taste in a variety of ways, from the flavor of potato chips to chicken nuggets.
But the dish is now on standby.
"The Health Department came out and they told us we can't do it anymore. There's a lot of disappointment right now," Persaud said.
The grasshoppers Mission Street uses are imported from a city in Mexico that's not FDA approved.
Persaud plans to get around the decision by raising his own bugs.
