Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has signed a budget that included cuts to the state's Planned Parenthood funding.

Some $1 million of the abortion provider's $18 million funding was taken out of the state budget, Sunday. The cut is meant to make up for Wisconsin's $3 billion shortfall, without raising taxes

Pro-life leaders say they applaud the move, but want to see the state defund the entire $18 million.

North Carolina, Kansas and Indiana have made similar moves.

A federal judge has placed a hold on the Indiana measure that cut off Planned Parenthood's revenues tied to Medicaid while the measure is challenged in court.

The Wisconsin budget eliminates state and federal funding to nine Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin centers in small communities.
