Miami International Airport has used abandoned items to make make a profit, auctioning them off to the highest bidder.
Passengers leave behind many different kinds of items, including laptops, cameras, bicycles, and even some interesting artwork. The airport held an auction over the weekend to get rid of the thousands of these items.
Those who attended the auction hoped to find a treasure.
"It's like buying a lotto ticket, you hope you win something," said auctioneer Paul May.
The most common abandoned item is luggage. Hundreds of suitcases were auctioned off along with the rest of the items.
Buyers bidded blindly, not knowing exactly what they would find inside of the luggage.
