Phares: How to Address Homegrown Terrorism

Ad Feedback

Lawmakers in Washington are gearing up for hearings to assess the radicalization of U.S. Muslims and the threat of homegrown terrorism.

Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., said he developed the Homeland Security Committee because of growing concern among government officials and authorities over attacks and foiled plots on U.S. soil.

Still, some fear the hearings will demonize American Muslims, and unfairly target law-abiding citizens.
