Republicans go to church more often than Democrats, and conservatives outnumber liberals in America, according to the results of recent Gallup polls.
Fifty-two percent of Democrats said they seldom or never go to church, in a recent poll published Monday.
However, another recent Gallup survey also found that 38 percent of Republicans say they seldom or never go to church.
According to Gallup, 61 percent of Republicans go to church weekly or monthly, compared to 47 percent of Democrats.
The latest poll also found that 42 percent of Americans call themselves conservatives, while only 21 percent say they are liberals.
The percentage of Americans describing themselves as conservative has gradually increased over the last 20 years, rising from 36 percent who said they were conservative in 1992.
The results are based on Gallup's daily tracking polls conducted from June 1 to Aug. 31 of this year.
