Pastor to Vets: God Can Heal 'Marks of War'

As the country prepares to honor Veterans Day Friday, pastor and author Steve Mays wants soldiers to find purpose in their experience with war.

In his booklet, The Marks of War: Commitment, Honor, Sacrifice, Mays said true healing after battle can come from faith in Christ.

"They (veterans) kind of feel like, 'I'm scarred and overwhelmed,' and yet in reality I think every one of us are," Mays told CBN News. "As Christians I think we [also] go through tough times."

"In the different wars you have tremendous scars of things people arent' even used to," he added.  "I think those are the things God is trying to speak and give victory to... God can really change them and change others."
