Michael W. Smith Joins 'Holiday Mail for Heroes'

U.S. troops are pulling out of Iraq this year, meaning many of them will be home in time for the holidays.

But tens of thousands will still be far from friends and family, stationed at U.S. bases around the world, including war zones like Afghanistan.

The American Red Cross has a way for you to let these brave heroes know they're in our thoughts and prayers during the holidays, with its Holiday Mail for Heroes project.

Christian singer-songwriter Michael W. Smith has joined the Holiday Mail for Heroes campaign as a way for those at home to send a message of hope to our troops.

Smith talked more about this campaign and how you can join, on CBN Newschannel Morning News, Nov. 11.
