Sexual abuse allegations involving former Penn State defensive coach Jerry Sandusky have ripped apart the college community, once united by its legendary football program.
Some have judged and pointed fingers. Others have turned away in pain and disgust. And many are praying for all those involved.
Randy Singer, an attorney and pastor of Virginia Beach's Trinity Church, said the case serves as a reminder that it's important to never remain quiet when it comes to wrongdoing.
"It's just amazing the fall from power that we saw with Paterno... Paterno didn't do anything but it's about what he didn't do that brought his downfall," Singer said.
"In our society, a lot of people feel like, 'What you do is not my business. I'm not going to intervene,'" Singer continued. "That's how we live now."
