Cowboy Church Brings 96-Year-Old to Christ

One Texas family recently learned it's never too late for God to change a heart.

The Devers are thanking their somewhat unusual church for helping them with that discovery.

Bert Devers never wanted to go to church -- until the Cowboy Church came to town.
When Devers observed people worshiping Western style, the 96-year-old had a change of heart.
It was at that moment the prayers of his family were answered: Devers became a Christian.

"It's very exciting today because we've prayed many years for this to happen," Devers' daughter, Sandra, said.

"Before he became a Christian, he had lost his will to live," Devers' son, Gary, recalled.

"Later on as things progressed, he told one of my neighbors now he wants to make it to a 100, and I think he probably do it," he said.

Their father is now being baptized to let everyone know that God changed his life.

Despite having two broken hips, the 96-year-old says he is walking by faith, something he's never done before his whole life.
