The sluggish economy and high unemployment numbers have many Americans thinking a lot about the economy.
But how can U.S. consumers help if so many of the nation's products are made overseas?
ABC News hopes to help tackle this issue with its special "Made in America" series.
In the series, reporters go into homes and show how the majority of products are made overseas. Rooms are then transformed to include only American made goods.
In the end, a calculation is given of how many jobs would be created if Americans bought those "Made in the U.S.A." products.
Yet, some critics say the series does little to shed light on why American companies are moving production overseas.
Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center's Business and Media Institute spoke with CBN News about the "Made in America" special.
