The Disney nature documentary "Chimpanzee" opens in theaters across the country Friday.
The G-rated film follows the adventures of Oscar, a 3-year-old chimpanzee who gets separated from his troop and is later adopted by an adult male chimpanzee.
"Fully engaged father? Check. Importance of adoption? Check. The beauty of family? Check. Disneynature shows us that, sometimes, the animal kingdom can teach us a thing or two about how to raise a kid (table manners notwithstanding)," writes Plugged-In Online reviewer Paul Assay.
Bob Waliszewski, director of Focus on the Family's Plugged In Online, reviewed Chimpanzee and other movies on the CBN News Channel's Morning News, April 20.
