Part of the World Financial Center in New York was evacuated Thursday after a suspicious package was found.

Authorities said a possible grenade was discovered in a mail package.

The FedEx package was being scanned by workers around 11 a.m. when the suspicious object was found.

The NYPD's emergency service and bomb squad are on site and evaluating the package.
