American Olympic hurdler Jeff Porter advanced to the next round in the 110 meter hurdles Tuesday.
Porter said God gave him the talent to compete and the ability to handle the sometimes harsh spotlight of the Olympics.
"I don't really focus on the pressure that much because I know that my audience is not -- it's not for the world, but more or less it's for the God who gave me the talent, so I don't worry about the pressure so much," he said.
"I just relax a little bit and just enjoy the moment, enjoy the experience, because I don't want to get too caught up in the doing of any one thing," he said.
Porter races in the semi-finals on Wednesday.
