Team USA has 90 medals, including 39 gold. China is in second with 80 overall medals and 37 gold.
The U.S. women's soccer team won gold for the third straight Olympics. Carli Lloyd scored the team's two goals, giving them the victory over Japan.
The women's water polo team defeated Spain, in the gold medal match.
And Claressa Shields became the first U.S. woman to win a boxing medal in an Olympics, also bringing home the gold.
America's Ashton Eaton can now be called "The World's Greatest Athlete" after winning the Olympic decathlon. American Trey Hardee won the silver.
Christian Taylor of the U.S. won gold in the Olympic triple jump, while teammate Will Claye won the silver.
