A leading family group in California said Democrat lawmakers are trying to strip parents of the right to raise their children as they see fit.

SaveCalifornia.com is fighting several bills in the state legislature.

One would force healthy children to be vaccinated, despite parents' objections. Supporters of the bill, AB2109, say it aims to protect public health.

Another bill would prevent counseling for children who may suffer from gender-confusion. The law would ban sexual orientation change effort treatment.

There is also a bill that would allow a child to have more than two legal "parents."

The legislative deadline for all bills to pass is Aug. 31.
