Gay rights activists are planning a nationwide "kiss in" protest of Chick-fil-A over their anger at company president Dan Cathy's support for traditional marriage.
Organizers encouraged protestors to go to Chick-fil-A and kiss a fellow demonstrator of the same sex.
CBN News recently asked the Family Research Council's Peter Sprigg how Christians should respond to the protest.
"I think that what the homosexual activists are going be looking for is they're going to go in, do their kissing, they will have friends there with video cameras ready to tape it and put it up on YouTube," Sprigg said.
"There is nothing they would like better than to have an aggressive, hostile response to what they do, either be thrown out of the restaurant, verbal harassment, or, God forbid, some kind of violence," he continued.
"So I think the best thing people can do is to deny them all of those things and to simply ignore it," Spring advised. "Maybe go in, go ahead and go to Chick-fil-A and support them some more by buying some chicken, but don't bring your children this time."
The "kiss in" is a response to Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day on Wednesday, when hundreds of thousands of customers flocked to the restaurants. The company said it set a sales record that day.
Chick-fil-A says it serves everyone with honor and respect.
