A Florida pastor's young children are in an upstate New York hospital after nearly drowning when their stroller rolled into a canal.

Jon Clanton was walking in a Rochester park with his two 8-year-olds, Sam and Selah, strapped in a double stroller Wednesday.

Eyewitnesses say the stroller got away from him and rolled into the nearby canal before he could stop it.

Clanton then jumped into the water to try and keep it above the water until Rochester police, firefighters, and emergency medical crews arrived.

The teams revived both children and rushed them to the hospital.

Jon Clanton is the pastor of Grace Church of Zephyrhills in Zephyrhills, Fla. He and his family were in upstate New York at a Ronald McDonald House, while a daughter they recently adopted from Ukraine was undergoing surgery.
