After more than a decade, CBN News' Lee Webb is stepping down from anchoring CBN's Newswatch program.

The veteran anchor began hosting Newswatch more than 10 years ago to provide more coverage on the War on Terror.

Webb will continue to anchor the news for CBN's flagship program, The 700 Club. In addition, he will continue to gather stories for The 700 Club and Newswatch.

"So this is not a goodbye, but a new challenge and opportunity," Webb said at the end of his final Newswatch show, Dec. 18.

He thanked viewers for faithfully following him over the past decade.`

"I hope you will continue to do so, as we seek to honor God through our work and provide you with His perspective on what he's doing in this world," he said.

Webb added that will continue to work on interviews with newsmakers, longer focus segments, and testimonies of God's work in the lives of His people.

You can watch Newswatch, CBN's 30-minute afternoon news broadcast, every weekday at 5p.m., here. Or check your local listings for show times.
