A federal judge has issued a preliminary injunction against the president's healthcare mandate on behalf of Bible publisher Tyndale House.
The Christian publisher objects to the provision that requires coverage for contraceptive and abortion-inducing drugs.
Judge Reggie Walton said that the federal law's contraceptive coverage mandate, "compels the plaintiffs to violate their religious beliefs" or face government fines and lawsuits.
Tydale's president Mark Taylor compared the fight to block the mandate to the Bible story of David and Goliath.
"The battle is the Lord's," he said.
On the radio program "The World and Everything in It," Taylor said he always hoped that he would "have the backbone to stand tall and disobey" if the government ordered him to violate God's law.
